WOW....we had almost 70 people come out for the auditions this Friday! Big thanks to Cynthia Tademy and all of the producers and crew that got the word out and pounded the pavement. Screening Premier and Awards!!!! That's right aftre being jerked around by the theaters and the very long editing process we are ready to screen the films or there traliers. After a ton of emails the votes have been cast and do to alot of being going out of town a couple days before Cristmas are screning date will be Thursdday the 20th of December at 7pm, be there or be supa square, you can bring anyone you want. Also we will be giving out dvd's to members and all of the actors. The screening is at the Central Library in Chesapeake, screening room, where we had our first meeting and the editing workshops, here are the directions. Hey, everyone. For new members please click on the new member link or the message board link and register. It takes about 30 seconds and your email will be stored so you can get all the upcoming info on dates and times for the first few meetings. Also if you would like to get involved in marketing just leave me an email and we can meet. June is close and we will begin scouting for locations and casting as well as having a huge meet and greet day for everyone involved where we will vote on the films suggested and choose our scenes. OOdalali!!!
The main idea is to take five major motion pictures and choose 5 main scenes from those films; Then replicate them completely. Everything from the camera angles, lighting, makeup, sets, special effects, movment, acting, you name it we are gonna do it. By duplicating the process we will learn the process. All the mistakes and victorys we can all share in and become better filmmakers at the same time.

We are finished with principle photography. Monty Python finished this past Sunday, and the editing has begun! hanks to all 100+ members for all there hard work and dedication to our first production with Students of Film. We have come a long way and there is tons more to come in the coming months, including 5 for 5, our premiers, the daily's cookout this Saturday and more, more, more. Look on the site for more info to come and this Sat will be a cookout and the chance to watch all the dailys at Sam,s dad's house, food and a pool, you cant beat it.
